On this page we offer a highly subjective list of accommodations and other travel-related services that we can personally recommend.

In New York City:
When we're in New York, we like to stay at one of the Ian Schrager Hotels close to the theatre district: the Hudson, the Paramount, and the Royalton. Designed by Phillipe Starck, each is comfortable, affordable, convenient, and utterly fabulous.

In Provincetown:
We can highly recommend a gem run by innkeepers Rainer, Juergen and Hans: Carpe Diem. As their website says, a stay at at Carpe Diem brings their guests closer to the soul of Provincetown - and hopefully they will come across one of these unique moments in life at their guesthouse.

The best way to get to Provincetown from Boston is by ferry. Bay State Cruise Company offers a regular ferry service that takes about three hours and a high-speed ferry that takes about two hours. Boston Harbor Cruise offers a high-speed catamaran service that will get you from Beantown to Provincetown in just 90 minutes.

The Cape and the Islands:
The perfect place to start your Cape Cod vacation is the Woods Hole Inn. Recently restored, the vintage Woods Hole Inn is decorated in a hip, modern style. Across from the Martha's Vineyard ferry and in the middle of everything in Woods Hole. We like their theme "Come stay Green by the deep Blue sea."

In Lyon:
If you want to stay in an amazing Bed and Breakfast in the World Heritage sites of Lyon, you can stay in Patrick and Stephane's La Tour-Lyon and discover the unique view on the city through the 17 windows of this tower-duplex.

In Puerto Rico:
Sitting atop the north wall of old San Juan, The Gallery Inn offers spectacular views of the sea. Close to forts, museums, galleries, boutiques, and restaurants, this rambling 18th-century inn has twenty-two beautifully appointed rooms nestled among courtyards, gardens, and patios.

In the Berkshires:
Located three miles below the village of Sheffield Massachusetts, Howden Farm is convenient to the many enriching outdoor and cultural activities that the Berkshires are famous for. From the symphonies of Tanglewood to the antique shops, from hiking the mountain trails and fishing on the nearby Housatonic River to the abundance of fine dining throughout, the B & B at Howden Farm and the Berkshires offer a rich palette of opportunities for every visitor.

In Brighton:
If you ever get to Brighton, the great seasite resort in the UK, make sure to check out our collegue's Matt and Andy's The Twenty One. They recently received TripAdvisor's 2010 Traveller's Choice Awards - congratulations!

In Rome:
If you are in Rome and are in need of a travel guide, please contact Silvia Poggiani at Le Tre Guide of Rome and Lazio. Silvia, a repeat guest at Encore, speaks immaculate English of course with this slight Italian accent, which we love.
